This has been nearly 15 years in the making. If you’ve seen some of the dialogues I’ve hosted and been a part via the Center for the Study of Black Life and the Law; you’ve already had your whistle wet for the libations that come next.
"Lit Theory: Libations, Liturgies & Liberations" will be a joyous, human, intimate and sacred space where I will host a group of various artists, thinkers, activists, layfolk in conversation about current issues, gaps in thought, dreams, unbecomings and how to live, and thrive, with the haunting of death...and we will read, hear or view a section of someone(s?) work and offer meditations and reactions in real time.
We will also perform (share our favorite) libation, offer a liturgy for the moment, and a word/method/moment of liberation.
These episodes will be available via Spotify, and here on my substack, with clips available to participants to share with their networks or for their own archives.
Please let me know if you might be interested in becoming a guest or have folks in mind and, as always, consider becoming a paid subscriber.
