Honey Bee it's Brelynn! i'm so so sorry about what happened to you in Boston. I remember when you may have been interviewing for the role you mentioned and fears I had then were confirmed by your story. As a native New Englander, I know what type of time people are on in Boston. On my first day at a well known social impact consulting firm, I was asked if I was the new admin assistant when I was coming in as a consultant (as opposed to the entry level associate consultant role). They'll haha and kiki with you until you step out of your "place" and then the mask comes off just to reveal a white hood.

Yes. My lord. Unfortunately this is the order of things, here there and everywhere. Particularly when Black livability is concerned. It has operated though, as the start of my theorizing about law--and the laws of social order--continue to order and disorder the way Black and BlaQueer people live and die.
